About Chefchaouen — The Blue City
Chefchaouen, or Chaouen, is a city in northwest Morocco. It’s noted for the buildings in its old town, which are washed in various shades of blue. Its medina features Spanish-Moroccan architecture, red-tiled roofs, and a central square (Plaza Uta el-Hammam) dominated by the octagonal minaret of the Great Mosque and the Kasbah museum.
